Be With The Revolution كن مع الثورة

Created three years before the Egyptian revolution of 2011, this iconic text based image that says ‘Be with the revolution’ (kon maa elthawra, in Arabic), became an emblem of Tahrir Square for a decade after its creation, and until today. A prolific and true digital artefact from a moment of great political change, this 3D digital animation comes in a series of three collectibles. With the satirical series subtitle, ‘The Trophy’, Mohamed Gaber wonders what the nature of objects on the intersection of politics and aesthetics is, and what new life a political artwork takes in the aftermath of a revolution and a counter-revolution.

‏قام الفنان والمصمم المصري محمد جابر بتصميم تلك الرسومات المتحركة ثلاث أعوام قبل الثورة المصرية في عام 2011. ‏تحولت تلك الرسومات إلى أحد الرموز السياسية للثورة ولجيل الثورة عمومًا. ‏يقوم الفنان هنا بتسجيل تلك الأعمال في صورتها الرقمية على شكل رسوم متحركة ثلاثية الأبعاد تتقاطع فيها أسئلة عن الجماليات والسياسة في نفس الوقت. وتسأل تلك الاعمال عن ماهية الفنون السياسية في فترة ما بعد الثورات
